Alleged Anchor Bar Wings - (Jim Widzinski) This is the recipe from "Frank & Teressa's Anchor Bar" in Buffalo, birthplace of the original Buffalo Wings. 15-20 Chicken Wings 1 Tablespoon Butter 1/4 Cup Durkee (Frank's Original) RedHot Cayenne Pepper Sauce Melt the butter and combine it with the hot sauce. You can add or subtract the amount of hot sauce depending on your taste. I use Durkee's hot sauce because it is what the Anchor Bar serves, but any hot sauce will work. Deep Fry the wings (vegetable oil) at 350 degrees for about 11-12 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly crispy. Place wings and sauce in any type of shaker and shake until wings are completely covered. Serve with blue cheese and celery. I only cook 15-20 wings at a time since my deep fryer can only handle this amount. Of course, if you cook a greater or lesser amount of wings, increase or decrease all amounts accordingly. 10-15 wings will take 10-11 minutes, and 20-25 will take about 12-14 minutes.
