My mother's recipes for Chinese Chicken Wings: Mandarin Chicken Wings 10 oz Soy Sauce 2 teaspoons fresh ginger or 1 teaspoon ground ginger 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/3 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon dark mustard 24 chicken wings garlic powder Mix soy, ginger, garlic, brown sugar and mustard well. Seperate chicken wings, discarding tips. Marinate wings in sauce 2 hours.Drain, reserving sauce. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 F, turning and basting frequently. Sprinkle with garlic powder. Broil a few minutes, until crisp. Mom's comments: Make stock with the wing tips The garlic powder and broiling is really not necessary - we've never done it, and they're still very good. --- From: sfw Newsgroups: rec.food.recipes Date: Fri, 31 May 2002 02:04:06 +0000 (UTC)
