Wings Marrakesh Ahh, the exotic flavors of the Mideast! And not a bad song by Crosby Stills & Nash, either! By the way, try to use real rice for this, not Uncle Ben's. Big difference! Ingredients: 12 Wings 1 1/2 teaspoons Minced garlic Salt to taste Freshly ground pepper to taste 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil 1 1/4 cups Water 1/3 cup Grated onion 2 cans (32 ounce) Peeled plum tomatoes, drained, seeded and coarsely chopped (or 3 pounds fresh plum tomatoes) 1 tablespoon Tomato paste 1 teaspoon Cinnamon 1 tablespoon Toasted sesame seeds Makin' It: Combine the garlic, ginger, salt, pepper and oil in a bowl. Add wings and toss until coated. In a skillet, combine the water, onion, tomatoes, tomato paste and cinnamon. Add the wings and bring to a boil. Simmer, covered, for 40 minutes. Remove the wings to a serving dish and keep warm. Continue to cook sauce over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Add honey and season to taste with salt and pepper. Spoon sauce over wings, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve over fluffed rice. ----- source: http://www.pickeringonline.com/wings/
